Static Powder Paint
What is Electrostatic Powder Coating?
Electrostatic powder coating is a coating method applied to metal surfaces and is generally used to achieve a more durable, aesthetically pleasing, and environmentally friendly finish. The basic principle of this method is that the paint is attracted to the metal surface by an electrostatic charge and then fixed by curing in an oven.
How Does It Work?
Powder Coating Application:
The paint is in powder form and sprayed onto the metal surface using an electrostatic gun. This gun imparts a negative charge to the powder particles.
Grounding the Surface:
The metal surface has a positive electrical charge, so powder paint particles are attracted to the surface. This allows the paint to adhere more evenly and firmly.
Baking and Curing:
The applied powder paint is heated in an oven at 180-220°C for 10-30 minutes. This process allows the paint particles to melt and bond with the surface, forming a hard coating.
